How to Enter

There are three ways to earn entries to the competition

  1. The first entry type is mandatory to take part and earns you by far the most entries (10). It displays as “Invent your own option” which is a little offputting, but if you click on it you’ll see all you have to do is smile (and maybe stick a smiley in)
  2. Tweet a message about the competition. This will get you 2 entries.
  3. Like my facebook page. This will get you 1 entry. I *think* you can get a credit for this even if you’ve liked the page in the past, but I can’t test it without entering the contest myself.

Personalised eBooks

Each personalised ebook will include a page with a dedication or message (I will try to accomodate any reasonable requests) and my signature. The book will be customised just for you – there will be other customised versions around but none will be the same as yours. This is the digital equivalent of a signed book.

Please note:

  1. Dedications will be typed because my handwriting is atrocious (as my teachers pointed out  frequently)
  2. The eBook will be provided in two DRM free file formats – Mobi (Kindle) and ePub (pretty much all other readers).
  3. These books won’t automatically appear on your reader, you will need to sideload them.
Don’t worry – it’s easy. If you’ve ever copied files onto / off of a USB memory stick the process is very similar. Google your device and “sideload books” (e.g. “sideload kindle books”) and you’ll find lots of articles to help.
  4. The dedication should display without issues on all devices. The signature should display too but as it is an image I can’t guarantee it will work on every reader out there.
