The Featured Author A. Gavazzoni, author of Behind The Door, a psychological and erotic Thriller, answers seven questions for our readers
1) How do you describe your writing style?
I would describe my style as persuasive writing…I always try to lead the reader…I’m not sure if I can…but I try hard! I can also say my style is “direct to the point” and I’m not much of a descriptive author, I just inform what I think is necessary…I can’t see the point in telling the readers ” the cushions are blue like a blue sky of a July morning”.
2) What has been the high point of your writing career?
As I just released my first novel, I believe the high point was receiving my first five stars review, I was so happy You could think I was #1 on New York Times Best Sellers List.
3) What one thing to do with writing most makes you want to scream?
Some things annoy me …to expose myself and selfadvertise me….I’m a private person and I hate to brag about my own work…
and second: when my imagination is much faster than my ability to write the ideas…that happens pretty much every day…
4) Where do you get your inspiration from?
My inspiration comes from many places… from people, from music, poetry and movies. Everything is inspiring, from nature to human behavior, it denpends on the moment I’am
5) What are you working on now?
I’m finishing Behind The Door’s sequel: Lara’s Journal. The new novel tells the reader about Simone, after being kidnaped and tortured and the readers are going to know all about Lara’s life…from the beginning…
6) Of all the characters you’ve created, which is your favourite… and why?
So hard for a mother to choose…Well, I love Simone, she is strong, intelligent, smart and a good person, always available to help people…but I also love Lara…strong in some ways and also very fragile, she is a woman struggling to be happy despite all her troubled life..
7) The Seventh Question… What question do you wish people would ask you, and what is the answer you’d give?
Did you like the movie Universal did based on your novel? ( can we dream, can’t we?)
It was perfect! So faithful! They didn’t screw up this time!
