Wanderer Book Four – Editing Update

My editor is aiming to finish with Wanderer Book Four by this Friday!  That’s a little later than I’d estimated on the timeline (copied below), but that was part of the reason for putting the timeline together – so that I could make more accurate predictions in the future.

Wanderer 4 Timeline April 2015

That will put things about 17 days behind the original schedule above, which isn’t too bad.  I built some bagginess into the schedule (I think) so a release date of 15th to 20th September still looks very possible.  Once I get the manuscript back from the proof reader I will be able to give a much order doxycycline 100mg better estimate.

There’s some news on book five too (the final book in the series).  I’ve started filling in details of the story arcs and now have a much better feel for the overall flow, though there will be lots for me to find out on the way.  I’m probably going to start writing it in earnest in a few weeks time.  More details will follow, of course…

I Can’t Stop Writing
I can’t stop writing!  Well, that’s a fairly normal statement for me anyway so let me refine it – I can’t stop writing short stories…

Writing Updates – Short Stories & Wanderer Book Five
So what am I doing with all my spare time now Wanderer Book Four is with my editor?  Well I’ve been really busy writing!

Wanderer Book Four Has Gone For Editing
Wanderer Book Four went to my editor (very) late Tuesday night!  For me this is one of the biggest milestones when publishing a book…

I just read the first 3 books in the Wanderer series. I loved the characters, although some what disappointed that most of them are some what tied up in book 3. I really, really need book 4. Is it not out yet?? If it is where can I find it. Thank you and keep writing.

      Hi Denise,

Great to hear you loved the series so far. Book four is very close to release now – the original target was for mid September (well, closer to a very rough guess) and while it’s slipped a bit it shouldn’t be by more than 4 to 6 weeks. I should be able to nail down the exact date in the next couple of weeks and will publish it here.

It will be available for pre-order at Amazon, Nook and Apple and available for Kobo, smashwords etc as well. If you’d like to be notified when pre-order is available and when it’s released you can head over to the subscribe page and you’ll also get access to an exclusive short story and be entered into a quarterly draw for a signed ebook of your choice. 🙂

    Simon,

I’ve very much enjoyed the first three Wanderer books (although the number of typos, mostly in the first two, detracted from your storytelling). The man/machine interaction between Jess and the ship has been well thought-out and I’m looking forward to the next one.

Good luck with getting it out there and with developing book 5.

      Hi Des,

That’s great to hear. The first book has just had a new version released that had a thorough cleanup after a professional proof read so it should be a lot better now, though I’m still trying to work out how to ensure Amazon push that version to the kindles of anyone who already owns it. Books 2 and 3 are in line for the same treatment, and book 4 has had it before being published.

        Simon,

That’s great to hear. Hopefully Apple can do the same in the iBooks store, where I got 2 & 3 (I d/l’d the first volume from NoiseTrade).

Best wishes for the upcoming release.

Yep – Apple will definitely allow pre-order as will Amazon. I *think* Nook will too and maybe Kobo, but I’m not sure yet. This will be my first time setting up pre-order so it’s a learning experience.

Interesting to hear you found the series through Noisetrade. I wasn’t sure how that would work out but it does seem to have lead to a lot of downloads.
